Andrea Bocelli, Italian singer (tenor), performer of classical and popular music, was born on September 22, 1958 in Tuscany, Italy.
Since childhood, Andrea studied music, particularly organ and piano. Andre also tried his hand at the game and on wind instruments, but the most ideal instrument in the process of forming a star Andrea Bocelli was the voice.
As a result of an injury received on the football field, Andrea’s vision is damaged, and he developed an eye disease – glaucoma. Every day his vision deteriorated and the boy became completely blind at the age of 12. But Andrea’s love of classical music lasted a lifetime.
As a teenager, Bocelli participates and wins in several vocal competitions, and with pleasure becomes a vocalist in the school choir.
After graduating from an excellent school, he enters the law department of the University of Pisa, after which he receives a law degree. But the dream of becoming a great tenor does not leave the young man, and Franco Corelli agrees to take the young man as a student. It was then that Bocelli realized that his career as a lawyer was over.
From this day on, a young novice tenor begins hard workouts, vocal classes during the day, and at night performs in restaurants and clubs to earn some money.
In 1996, together with the performance of parts on the opera stage, Andrea performs the melody of the modern composition “Time to say goodbye” duet with Sarah Brightman. This song has been heard all over the world. This duo became the only ever bestseller in Germany and for its performance receives an Echo award.
The name of Andrea Bocelli is deservedly recorded in the Guinness Book of Records for his place in the American classical music ratings.
In 1998, the Queen of England invited Bocelli to participate in the Royal Performance in Birmingham.
At the anniversary of the Del Silencio Theatre, the honorary president and memorable co-founder of which is Bocelli, there were eminent guests: Placido Domingo, Lang Lang, Laura Posini, David Foster, and of course Sarah Brightman, Heather Hadley, Noa, Roberto Beaulieu and Nicola Piovani.
The most valuable recognition of the talent of Andrea Bocelli was a star in the Walk of Fame in Hollywood.
