The original lineup includes vocalist Deric Whibley, guitarist Mark Costanzo, bassist Richard Roy and drummer Steve Jose.
The contract with the label “Island Records” the group managed to conclude only in 2000. Then in June, the mini-album Half Hour of Power was released, which goes platinum in the homeland of musicians. The single "Makes No Difference" was also successful. After the release, the team takes part in the Blink-182 tour.
"The Mighty Mighty Bosstones"
Her first full-length album, All Killer No Filler, was published in the spring of 2001. Very popular is the composition "Fat Lip", which has become part of the musical track for American Pie 2 tapes (American pie 2). The second album will be released next year. "Does This Look Infected?" has a more "heavy" sound. The single "Still Waiting" is included in the soundtrack for the game "ObsCure".
The 2004 song "Moron" was a harsh criticism of George W. Bush's policies. The album is called Rock Against Bush, Vol. 1. In the same year, the musicians went to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, where they almost got into a shootout. The album "Chuck" was released in October 2004.
In the spring of 2006, guitarist Dave Baksh left the band, creating the metal band Brown Brigade. The 2007 song "March of the Dogs" revisits Bush's ineffective leadership. In the summer, the musicians will present the album “Underclass Hero”. After that, the team releases a collection of songs and begins work on a new album. In 2010, during the concert tour "Sum 41" perform in Yekaterinburg, St. Petersburg and Moscow.
