It was at Death Row Records that Kurupt teamed up with Dat Nigga Daz aka Daz Dillinger, with whom they formed the Tha Dogg Pound ensemble. In 1995, the duo released Dogg Food, which sold over a million copies.
Kurupt has a son, Tren Brown, from rhythm and blues singer Natina Reel, who died in a car accident in the fall of 2012.
The rapper had the opportunity to try himself as a movie actor. In November 2001, he starred in the role of a maniac in the film comedy “Wash” directed by DJ Pooh, stylized as hip-hop. The main roles in the film went to the famous rappers Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre. The film also featured such popular musicians as Ludacris, Xzibit and Eminem. The tape collected over ten million dollars worldwide.
