Monica Raymund was born in St. Petersburg, Florida, USA on July 26, 1986. Her father, Steve Reimund, was chairman and CEO of Tech Data Corp. A girl from the age of four played the piano. She participated in school performances from the first years of school. At the age of 13, she took singing lessons. In high school, she studied at the North Carolina School of Art. After graduating from high school, Monica entered the Juillard School of Actors in New York. During her four years of study, she performed in theater productions and was awarded the John Houseman Prize for dedication to the development of the profession, the prize is awarded to young students.
Monica Reimund graduated from Anna Reinking, a Broadway theatre project. In 2008, in Boston, the Huntington Theatre Company participated in the production of Boleros for the Disenchanted. In 2007, Monica starred in two short films – Sharon Barnes’ Fighter and An Tang’s Love: Pain, and after graduating in 2008 – in the TV series Law & Order: SVU, in one episode. The following year, unexpectedly for herself, Monica received an invitation to the casting and went on to star in the new series.
