Roman Dmitrievich Kurtsyn was born on March 14, 1985 in Kostroma. Since childhood, the boy was fond of sports, attended wrestling, athletics and gymnastics sections. Sports achievements did not distract him from his studies - Roman studied "excellently", his favorite subject was Russian literature. In high school, he became interested in theater and enrolled in a theater circle. After graduation, Kurtsyn entered the Yaroslavl Theatre Institute.
His first appearance on the stage took place in 2006, when Roman was still a student: he played Alexei in the play A Very Simple Story. After graduating from the institute, Kurtsyn moved to Moscow, where he got a job at the Mayakovsky Theater and at the same time went to auditions for films. In 2008, he starred in three films: “Happy Way”, “Champion”, “Silver”. And in each of these pictures he played diametrically opposite characters. Critics appreciated the aspiring actor, and he began to be invited to the main roles.
Roman Kurtsyn is known for such films as
"Sword" (2009), "Doctor Tyrsa", (2010), "I'll Give Myself a Miracle" (2010) and "Shooting Mountains" (2011). All the tricks in the films Roman performs himself.
