Richard Madden is a Scottish film, television and theatre actor. Madden is originally from the village of Eldersley, and in his early years he participated in the Paisley Arts Centre’s program for stage experience before he entered high school. Madden is originally from the village of Eldersley, and in his early years he participated in the Paisley Arts Centre’s program for stage experience before he entered high school. In 2007 he completed his studies at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.
Richard began his career as an actor at the age of eleven with the role of a young Andy in the film adaptation of the work “Accomplices” by writer Ian Banks, after which he starred in the leading role in the television series Barmy Aunt Boomerang – in six episodes that appeared on screens in the period from 1999 to 2000.
While studying at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, Madden worked with The Arches, a non-profit production company. Thanks to this, Richard played in the play Tom Fool, which was so well received by the public that it was decided to stage it in London, where the actor was noticed by representatives of the Globe Theatre.
In the last year of his studies, Richard played the role of Romeo in the play Romeo and Juliet of the Globe Theatre, which after the London premiere was held on the open grounds of the summer tour of 2007.
