Samuel Shepard Rogers. Sam Shepherd (his full name is Samuel Shepherd Rogers) was born on November 5, 1943 in Fort Sheridan, Illinois. By the end of the 60s - early 70s, Shepard became a famous American playwright, presenting several strong plays to the audience, among which "The Buried Child", "The Curse of the Starving Class", "The True West". He also worked on scripts, collaborating with famous directors such as Michelangelo Antonioni (the film Zabriski Point) and Wim Wenders (Paris, Texas).
