Nykl is just about to disassemble the mantelpiece in the knight's hall, convinced that the painting must be hidden somewhere inside. His efforts, however, meet the strong disapproval of the castle manager, Anna Juzová (Jirina Petrovická), who knows very well where The Naked Shepherdess is. She wants to get hold of the painting herself, to emigrate and smuggle it along. In fact, Anna deals with forgeries of the most distinguished old masters, selling them abroad. An unknown person crosses the border in a balloon. In the morning, a truck arrives in the forest to the place of landing of the ball. The driver, nervously looking at the watch, is clearly waiting for something. But here comes the one with whom the meeting was scheduled - a stranger who arrived on the ball. His face is not visible because of his raised collar. He gets into the car, and then shoots a witness in the head - a driver who could identify him, and then leaves in the car of the deceased. In a few hours, loggers will find a corpse and the remains of a balloon, and an empty truck will soon be found.
