The title of the animated film "London, je t'aime" (London, je t'aime) is associated with the short film collection "Paris, I love you". Indeed, the idea of the film is the same - to look at London through the eyes of filmmakers about their favorite city. Only a film about London, unlike a film about Paris, is collected not from fiction, but from animated films.
The most popular cartoons of the collection:
Water Treatments in Clerkenville was created for the visual design of the musical composition of the British band Real Tuesday Weld.
"JE T'AIME, JOHN WAYNE" is about a Londoner who is confused about his nationality. The film won the jury prize at the Berlin Film Festival.

In a word, "I'm Fine, Thanks" is a movie about complacency, or why so many settle for mediocrity in their everyday life at the expense of a greater passion. It's a collection of stories on the choices we make and the paths we ultimately decide to follow. And - most importantly - whether or not that path is truly connected to who we are as individuals. First-time director and Wilmington native Grant Peelle narrates the film from the perspective of a fledgling filmmaker acting on his long-held passion to make movies. Together with four other crew members and a trusty van, Peelle takes the audience on a 42 day, 10,000 mile road trip to capture stories of complacency and triumph from all across the country. Trade Tattoo went even further than Rainbow Dance in its manipulation of the Gasparcolor process. The original black and white footage consisted of outtakes from GPO Film Unit documentaries such as Night Mail. Lye transformed this footage in what has been described as the most intricate job of film printing and color grading ever attempted. Animated words and patterns combine with the live-action footage to create images as complex and multi-layered as a Cubist painting. Music was provided by the Cuban Lecuona Band. With its dynamic rhythms, the film seeks (in Lye’s words) to convey “a romanticism about the work of the everyday in all walks of life." close

During World War II, a teenage Jewish girl named Anne Frank and her family are forced into hiding in the Nazi-occupied Netherlands, as she keeps a diary of the next few years. NOTE: This is a French *edited* version of the 1995 original anime film by Akinori Nagaoka, which is listed as some minutes longer (102, while the France edit is cut down to 88). The edited version also replaced the original musical score with a more orchestral soundtrack. First shown in 1999 via festivals (some with an English dub), then released on DVD in 2000 with French audio & English subtitles, it took a while for an official English dub to be released next, but a trailer was posted on YouTube in April of 2015. The edited film with an English-audio dub was finally made available for free on YouTube as of May 2020. The "original" title in the info on TMDB is incorrectly in English but locked; the English should be in the "translated title" spot. It's in French on a poster though: Le Journal d'Anne Frank. close
