Brazilian writer. Jose Costa, like many writers, has a literary slave. Jose returns from a conference of the same writers, the plane lands in Budapest. Here Jose meets Christa, and this acquaintance has a strong influence on his future fate.
This is not the first time Budapest has raised the issue of the complex, hostile relationship between a writer and an author working for him. For example, a similar theme has already been convincingly played out in "Rail Novel" Claude Lelouch. But Budapest takes a slightly different approach to the problem, looking at it from a different point of view.
The role of the main character went to actor Leonardo Medeiros. In his performance, Jose Costa turned out to be a character full of contradictions and arrogance, not noticed by anyone, but at the same time feeling his superiority. close

In EVOLUTION, acclaimed filmmaking team Kornél Mundruczó and Kata Wéber (PIECES OF A WOMAN) return with a powerful drama tracing three generations of a family, from a surreal memory of World War II to modern day Berlin, unable to process their past in a society still coping with the wounds of its history. Like the water that connects the episodes in this triptych, memory and identity are fluid, and how we relate to it can drown or buoy. The pain and stigma that trickles from Eva, to Lena and then Jonas is inexpressible, yet rendered with striking imagery by Mundruczó and a wrenchingly poignant yet acerbically ironic and personal script by Weber. While generational traumas find new expression in the present, the family in EVOLUTION looks towards a more hopeful future close
