The life and career of the wonderful Soviet and Russian actor, director and screenwriter Alexander Leonidovich Kaidanovsky was not easy. He was born in 1946 in the city of Rostov-on-Don. The life and career of the wonderful Soviet and Russian actor, director and screenwriter Alexander Leonidovich Kaidanovsky was not easy. He was born in 1946 in the city of Rostov-on-Don. After graduating from eight grades of secondary school, he entered the Dnipropetrovsk welding technical school, but without finishing it, he went to the Rostov School of Arts. Then he successfully entered the Shchukin Theatre School in 1965. After completing his studies in "Pike" Alexander Kaidanovsky was admitted to the Vakhtangov Theater.
But life and work in the theater troupe somehow did not work out: the actor never had the opportunity to play the main roles. In addition, Alexander Kaidanovsky always felt himself a free man, who did not like to humiliate and humiliate others, did not make his career in favor of various “high-ranking persons”. After a long drinking spree, he left the theater. The famous actor Mikhail Ulyanov advised him to return to his homeland in Rostov. But without following anyone’s advice, without retreating from his goal, this original and charismatic man acted in his own way: in 1973, under Mosfilm, he went to serve in the army in the cavalry regiment. Here and happened his star role in the film.

Alexander Kaidanovsky also wrote several scripts. He loved reading, painting, learned two foreign languages, studied philosophy, psychiatry, staged performances, traveled a lot. He was married three times, the last time to his student Inna Pivars, who was 23 years old at the time of the wedding.
The life and work of this amazing, multifaceted, talented person were relatively short-lived. At the age of 49, without suffering a third heart attack, he died.
