Lastly she's the first non-Hebrew protagonist in the Bible since Abraham sired the Hebrew people. It's a simple story in the Old Testament. Ruth is one of two Moabite women who marry the sons of Elimelech and Naomi. Daughter-in-law Ruth however says she will not desert her. She's going to give up the life and culture of Moab and her people will be Naomi's people in the most famous line from the Book of Ruth. close

The film is about the previously untold story of the bloody battle of the 8th Air Force against the German Luftwaffe in the months leading up to D-Day. The story comes from the first person of 3 pilots and war correspondent Andy Rooney. Real-life color footage, which has not previously been shown, features B-17s Flying Fortresses, P-47 Thunderbolt and P-51 Mustang. Video footage of the 8mm film indicates devastation following the German raids and the prospect of the collapse of the Luftwaffe. Flying 25,000 feet above the ground in oxygen-deprived air and 50 degrees below zero, the 8th VA waged a war never before seen. By the end, they had suffered 26,000 casualties, more than the U.S. Marines who died in World War II. close

They've ridden dusty miles without end and fought fierce battles. Yet when these brave African-American cavalrymen enter a scraggly frontier town, they must walk through it instead of ride. The town dishonors them but the soldiers' Native-American foes do not. Apache leader Victoria and other warriors give the horsemen a name of honor and strength: "Buffalo Soldiers".
