In this experimental film, satellite photos are intertwined with photos and videos on a familiar scale. The result is complex patterns that complement each other, regardless of whether they were shot at a distance of one meter or 35 thousand kilometers. These patterns bloom naturally or thanks to a person, they can argue and compete in beauty, freeze or change every second, be objective or dissolve in imaginary abstraction. close

A documentary about the only six-time Olympic champion in running on skates Lydia Pavlovna Skoblikova. She is a legend of world sport. Among the older generation there are no those who would not know her name. Among the younger generation there is an interest in her outstanding life – from the first victory on broken skis to the champion, which was met by the whole country, and Yuri Gagarin considered it an honor to accompany the tour to the Cosmonaut Training Center. Today, the legendary champion is actively working on the development of youth skating. An athlete whose achievements are unlikely to be repeated, who in the history of sports will succeed. But why is it always the best? — This question will become the dominant one for us. close

The figure of Tamerlane (Timur), for all its significance for history in general and Central Asia in particular, is little known to those living today, for whom he is primarily a brilliant commander.
The first of the eastern rulers, he created an army, which was clearly divided into military branches. His talent allowed him to create an empire larger than the state of Alexander the Great.
As for Timur’s other talent, a great creator and transformer, this is much less talked about, and the film Tamerlane. The Steppe Architect fills this gap in the story of the outstanding Mongol.

Gora is a frail middle-aged woman who works as a janitor in one of the sleeping areas of Rostov-on-Don. She has neither a residence permit nor a medical policy, and in order to somehow save money, she lives with a friend in a barracks for 500 rubles. The two-storey densely populated hut survived only because it stood in the landfill for its entire history. People have been living here for more than forty years. They grow geese and goats in summer kitchens, boil themselves, drink, love, die. A nunnery is located a hundred meters from the barracks. There are 15 girls of all ages in it, in essence, this is the same barrack, only completely whitewashed and surrounded by a brick fence. They say the abbess is a former prison guard. Passion is no worse than in the cool Mexican series. close

Thirty-five hundred years ago, God gave Moses a gift that changed the future of humanity. Some of the most incredible miracles in history came from applying a simple code, activating the power of the creative force of God in the world. This ancient technology has largely been lost or ignored since then, only to be revealed once again through this movie (as well as James Twymans book of the same name). This code, if finally applied by humanity, has the power to transform the planet, as well as add the richest blessings to all of us. Some of the best-known spiritual teachers in the world join James in this film, and offer tools that show us how we can apply the Moses Code to our lives. close

In 1978, Gilles Jacob landed what must seem like a dream job to many film buffs -- he became the director of the Cannes Film Festival, the world's biggest and most prestigious event for international cinema. Born in 1930 to a Jewish family, Jacob survived World War II by hiding out in a Catholic seminary, and developed a passion for movies as a teenager, attending school alongside future director Claude Chabrol. In his late teens, Jacob founded his own film magazine, Raccords, and he later became the chief film reviewer for L'Express (where he lost his job for having the temerity to give The Story of O a bad review). In 1978, Jacob took over as director of the Cannes Film Festival, and set out to make the world's greatest film festival even better by creating new showcases for promising talent (while still maintaining room for gifted veteran filmmakers), expanding the facilities and continuing to entertain and challenge audiences each year. close
