The film is dedicated to the people's liberation struggle of the population of the Portuguese colony of Goa for its independence and reunification with India. The prologue and epilogue include documentary footage telling about the international resonance on the events in Goa. ..1937. In the town square, the wives and mothers of the Portuguese colonialists shoot the revolutionary Arthur Antonio Gomez, destroy people who listened to the calls of the patriot to the liberation struggle. The officer intends to kill Monti, the son of Gomez, but some Portuguese woman asks to give the child to her. Twenty years have passed. It is a four-hundred-year colonial yoke over the people of Goa. But, despite the brutality of the Portuguese, the population of the country continues to struggle, remembering its hero Arthur Gomez, who died from the hands of murderers. The youngest son of Gomes Rocky, born after the death of his father, did not know his name: his grandmother protected the boy from the revolutionary movement. Rocky was young, happy and carefree, loved Mary. But once his happiness ended: the Portuguese officer abused Maria, and the girl, not bearing shame, finished with herself. Rocky begins to take revenge on enemies for the death of his beloved. Once, changing into the clothes of a killed Portuguese soldier, he penetrates into an officer's club. Every Portuguese in the dance hall sees his enemy and is ready to take revenge on everyone. When people later find out that Rocky is the son of Arthur Gomez, they look at him with hope. Will the son be worthy of his father’s memory? Rocky justified the hopes and trust of the people, he embarked on a decisive struggle against the Portuguese rulers. On the fences appeared announcements of military police promising a reward for the capture of Rocky. Monti, raised in a Portuguese family, turns into a cruel executioner. The brother fights against his brother, and only when Rocky is arrested and threatened with death, Monty finds out who his hated enemy is. Then he breaks with the Salazar gendarmes, goes to the side of the freedom-loving people of Goa, releases Rocky from arrest, and together they attack the radio station. Having destroyed many Portuguese soldiers and officers, two sons of Gomez die. But this sacrifice was not in vain. The people of India came to help the rebels, and in the end Goa was freed from colonial dependence. close
