Henry Ian Kusik is a Scottish-Peruvian film, television and theatre actor.
Kusik comes from Trujillo, a Scottish father and Peruvian mother. After living in Trujillo for two years, the family moved to Spain, then Scotland, later settling in Trinidad and Tobago and living there for ten years.

Later, Henry began to study at the theater school. He spent six months at the Royal Scottish Academy of Drama and Music in Glasgow and joined the Citizens Theatre Company. Kusik speaks fluent Spanish and English, brought up in the traditions of the Roman Catholic Church.
Henry Ian Kusik’s career began with the stage. He quickly got the main roles – Hamlet in the production of “Marowitz Hamlet”, Horner in the play “Village Wife” and Dorian Gray in the play “Portrait of Dorian Gray”.
Henry’s role as Torquato Tasso at the Torquato Tasso International Festival in Edinburgh and Creon in the Oedipus Civic Theatre allowed him to receive a nomination, and later the Ian Charleson Award for the excellent performance of a classical theatrical role by a young actor in 1995.
Subsequently, Kusik began to actively star in television projects and films. In 2003, he was offered the role of Jesus Christ in the film The Gospel of John. This film became a literal adaptation of the Gospel of St. John.
In 2005, Henry began to play his main role in the acting career - Desmond Hume in the television series.
