When a snowstorm suddenly hit the tourists on the mountain pass, the situation began to quickly get out of control. Caught by bad weather by surprise, people were trapped - a strong wind fell from their feet, white haze covered everything around, prickly snow blinded their eyes. It was impossible to return back, to go forward – there was not enough strength, there was nowhere to hide. There was a panic. In the most difficult situation in which the heroes of the film “Storm Warning” found themselves, as in no other, the best and worst qualities of those who went on that ill-fated campaign were manifested. A trek that has become a test of resilience and courage, a journey in which everyone has made their own moral choices.
The film “Storm Warning” is based on real events – the tragedy on the tourist route near Mount Fisht, which occurred in September 1975, when 21 tourists from a group of 53 people died.
