The boy manages to get to Leningrad and the hero enters the Arctic Institute. Sergei is tasked with bringing the fugitive home, but Nikita stubbornly hides his origin and the purpose of the escape. Soon, his grandmother arrives and Ivanov learns that Nikita is his son. He writes a letter to his ex-wife and convinces her to return to him. Between the spouses there is reconciliation - and gathered in the next expedition, Sergei promises his wife and young son to return on time to the Big Land. close
