He was born on February 1, 1906 in Moscow. He graduated from B. Tchaikovsky film courses (1927). From 1925 he starred in different studios, in 1943-1946 – actor of the Central Theatre of the Soviet Army, since 1946 – Theatre-Studio of the film actor, in 1951-1954 – Theatre of the Group of Soviet Troops in Germany. In the cinema since 1925 (the first role is a hooligan in Vladimir Gardin’s film The Cross and the Mauser). Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1958). He died on April 8, 1981.
