A patchwork blanket or still a soulful movie "A Room and a Half or ..." is a patchwork film. In one canvas wove and documentary footage with the Nobel leureate and a good animation about the cat and crows and good actors Freundlich and Jurassic in the roles of Brodsky's parents. There is a very big doubt that the resulting Burda has any relation to the real Brodsky or even to the mood of Leningrad at that time. But the filmmakers themselves were insured and noted at the end of the film that any coincidences are absolutely random, because Brodsky did not return to his homeland even with a short tourist visit.
But created, woven over 10 years, the canvas is of great importance in the sense that it speaks at least about how Brodsky saw that time, that era and the personality of Brodsky is not the most stupid people of our time: director Andrei Khrzhanovsky and screenwriter Yuri Arabov. And this, believe me, is also very, very obvious. And I invite those who love to find out the truth about this powerful thing to memoirs. Fortunately, there have been a lot of them lately. For a very different taste.
