Travel to the edge of the light The Pevensey family is no longer together, the older children are already resting in America, while the younger ones remain in Europe, experiencing the horrors of war, being in a family of a rare nasty and vile cousin Eustace. Thank God for all the military actions to take screen time will not, and immediately put Lucy, again played by the incredibly charming Georgie Henley, with the grown-up Edmund and already mentioned Eustace - in Narnia, an extremely interesting way, delivering all three to the ship "Dawn Conqueror", where they are waiting for Prince Caspian with a team. heterogeneous sailors from the fantasy genre: fauns, minotaurs, brave mouse Ripichip, and ahead will be dragons, and sea snake, and travel to the end of the world!
Unlike the previous two parts, the triquel focuses on the nature of human vices. Various religious-Christian motifs were traced both in the first and second parts, but only in the third they reached such a pronounced role in what is happening that even behind poorly concealed symbolism one can see all the abundance of nested ideas. Whatever the scene, it is an obligatory reference to the seven deadly sins and the Ten Commandments of the Bible, regular advice of Aslan, as a divine gaze from somewhere in heaven and talk about his country, for pure hearts and from where they do not return. From the fairy tale, the film turned to fantasy, and it in turn passed into the genre of a religious parable, in which moralizing is diluted with action and adventures in a modern way.
Of course, understanding all this, accusing a fairy tale of excessive morality is superfluous, family cinema should carry the right values, and a fairy tale should be instructive, in addition to the ability to entertain. Fortunately and entertain here really turns out, the film is very dynamic and fabulously beautiful! What is an invisible house or a sea full of white flowers? However, added 3D does not feel as we would like, a lot here could demonstrate the technology of volume and games with the hall, but the potential of the format was not disclosed in all the splendor of the video series. Exciting battle scenes nevertheless look expressive and very high-quality staged, so the replacement of the director is not too felt: everything remained as exciting as in “Caspian”. Just the plot itself here is not so much built on intrigue and action, how much more on the linear adventures of the heroes. The triquel was not as fabulously childish as the first film, and not as dynamically action as the sequel. Why and inferior to the previous two, but itself is a beautiful and good story.
At the height was graphics, as well as costumes. What is happening really immerses in the magical Narnia, breathtaking dragon flights, makes hearts beat in a thirst for adventure and carries through the entire timekeeping to the wondrous corners of this fantastic country. In addition, unlike the previous two, the third film became somehow kinder, more sublime and smooth in the dimension of the plot key moments. It looks good both in terms of special effects and in terms of the story told. Also, talking about bright qualities and positive moments, you can not forget the colorful characters, brilliantly played by the cast. Ben Barnes looks great in the role of Caspian, as well as despite the plot absence of older children of the family - in the film they still flash in some scenes, as well as Tilda Swinton in the guise of the White Witch, at the same time there are many diverse and very bright secondary characters, which do not want to forget. And what's really interesting is that you can't get lost in them, no matter how many they are, without even seeing the first two parts of the story. Therefore, the film is in principle independent, although the ways of moving there and back are surprising each time with its cool ideas.
“Dawn Conqueror” successfully completed the trilogy about the Pevensey family and gave a hint of “Silver Chair”, in which the main character will be just a nasty guy named Eustace and one of his girlfriend, but this is only later, and this is a completely different story. And now you can safely go to the cinema, when there is a mood for a beautiful and instructive fairy tale film, go with the whole family or just send children alone, have a good time. A bright fairy tale, as expected from it, is a very dynamic and kind movie, detached from the harsh reality and everyday problems.
