Although I called the first part an average action movie, there was a less exciting plot, and a cool ending. I expected a lot from the second part. You can even say that it is impossible. So many laudatory reviews, both from critics and viewers, and most of it is almost the best action movie, and that the first part is not even suitable for sweepstakes. Well, so, if in the first part at least there was a fascinating, even a criminal plot, then here some kind of a mess turned out.
This time, Max, who is already completely mad and wild alone, is hunting for fuel. He finds a savage who shows him where the fuel is. But there he sees a lot of bandits, and soon after, hostages. One of them he rescues and brings home, but there he dies, and Max is considered the same criminal. In order to justify himself somehow, and in order to get away from them, Max is hired as a courier to bring a truck for a gas tanker, but in fact it does not develop as he wanted.
As I said before, the story here is murky. Not only does everything revolve around gasoline, relegating the main character Max to the background, and with this storyline nothing particularly fitting comes out. Well, they're fighting for gas, so what's next? Well, it's not that interesting. And the way Max appears to us at the beginning of the film, morally depressed, has already lost the “human face”, and he remains at the end of the film. So it is not interesting to follow the moral image of the hero in the course of the film, unlike the first part of the film. In general, there are some disorders.
Now in terms of the action part. Well, it certainly looks a little more interesting here than in the first part, since the storylines were completely different, there it was not intended. But in this particular movie, it doesn't add to his appeal. If there is no interesting plot, then the special effects are not particularly interesting to watch. Of course, I admit, the final scene of the trailer chase was great, but it was so long that it was instantly tiring. And as it would be long to be surprised at the ending of the film, anyway, in general, it was banal.
Not a bad role of Mel Gibson, but again with the first part can not be compared. There he had such a difficult mission, especially at the end of the film, and he coped with it perfectly, but here his character acts as a kind of “silent witness”. Again, it fades into the background, the main character here is “liquid gold”. And no matter how crazy Gibson wanted to show Max, in this film he did not succeed.
