Theme I watch Eternal Light and this is what I think. Intimate relationships between people are necessarily accompanied by resentments and other negative emotional content situations. It's inevitable. But it's just spoonfuls of tar. Meanwhile, moments of happiness in love are priceless, and one should not allow them to be abandoned, both conscious and subconscious. In fact, there is no such washing machine as in the film, but people without it usually act exactly like the heroes of “The Shining” – when a relationship is broken, everything that was associated with a loved one is erased from memory. That's sad. People tend not to remember their rate of death, and they do not realize that this partial erasure of memory is equivalent to partial suicide. Everyone’s time is unstoppably running out, but nevertheless, whole chunks of life are deliberately regularly cut out and turned into nothingness.
