A good French film Look at Me, 2004, created by a wonderfully talented French couple - Agnès Jaoui (director and screenwriter, as well as a performer of one of the roles) and Jean-Pierre Bakri (co-writer of the script and performer of one of the main roles). The title role is Marilou Berry, daughter of Josian Balasco. The story is about the not very successful older daughter of the famous writer, who has long been formed into a complete egoist, allowing himself to laugh with impunity and thoughtlessly at all the people around him, including his relatives, wondering that they are offended by this, their deep indifference hurting his daughter Lolita (!!), who is complex because of his excessive weight and lack of demand from the opposite sex, looking only for the favor of her father, whose real attention she is also deprived. She does not understand that her sullenness and wariness she is also able to push away from herself, and she just wants someone to appreciate her personally. The French name translates differently (like "as in the picture"). The film was fondled at festivals - in 2004 it received the prize of the European Film Academy and the Cannes Film Academy for best screenplay, was nominated for the Palme d'Or, received a number of other prizes and nominations - for example, Marilo Berry was nominated for Cesar as the most promising actress.
