The book, which published a memoir in 1996 by Frank McCourt, the details of which speaks about his poor childhood in Limerick, I read. The book has been translated into 17 languages and won the 1997 Pulitzer Prize.
The film is a little more private than the book. It is more synchronous to think about freedom and hope. Alan Parker's directing work is filigree. Parker, the master and magician of such cool things-films as "Mississippi on Fire" (Oscar in 1989 as best director), "Midnight Express" (Oscar in 1979 as best director), "The Life of David Gale (2002).
As for the temporite and sound – there is a good overlap of one on the other and therefore the effect is there.
As for the content: most of all, the goal, motive and the final file will reflect the dialogue from the film “Shawshank Escape”, which sounds like this: Was it worth it? Two weeks in a hole?
- It's the easiest time. .
- Bullshit! It's not easy in a hole. There's a week going on like a year. That's right.
- Mr. Mozart was with me.
- Are you allowed to bring a record player?
- He was here (pointing to the head) and here (pointing to the heart). The beauty of the music, you can't take it away. Does music not work that way on you?
- Well, I used to play harmonica when I was young. Then I lost interest. It's no use here.
- It's a big deal. You need this to remember. . .
- Remember?
- Do not forget that there are places in the world that are not carved out of stone. That there is something in you that cannot be reached. Something untouched. It's just yours. You know? And no one else. Just yours.
- What are you talking about?
- Hope. .
It's a great movie. I recommend watching. Highest score.👋
