Couldn't or didn't want to? The Sicilian, of course, needed to be filmed by Coppola, as this is the only real book spinoff of The Godfather. The book is good not just as a story, but as a story based on the life of Robin Hood, who actually existed in Sicily.
Why the director was so stupid that he built the story of Turi’s life around a woman, why the story of his becoming a criminal and his death were presented in a different way, one can only guess.
This is definitely a good film for those who have not read the book, and a very bad one for those who have read it.

In general, it looks like they took a ruby, changed the color to green - now it is an emerald.
Not bad either, but why?
