The Medal of Honor. The search for justice. The battle for the truth.
So before us is another creation of American cinema on the military theme. The film looks good, this is the merit of Meg Ryan, that before Denzel Washington I watched 11 films with him and I see almost the same thing, the acting is certainly good, but not outstanding. In the film there are 2 incidents in parallel. The first is the incident in Iraq, which affected Colonel Serling (Denzel Washington) his thoughts and memories of him.
The second is about Captain Karen Walden (Meg Ryan), who is posthumously to be awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor, investigating the circumstances of her death and deciding whether she deserves the award or not.
The military action is shown in the spirit of the Americans, the enemies run in full height, shoot on the sand at the feet and approach the entrenched American soldiers at a distance of 2 meters receiving a well-deserved ration of lead, instead of throwing grenades from afar. About tank battle is a separate conversation, Colonel! in the heat of the "battle" became for the tank machine gun and his face at this moment is something, of course it is to impart pathosity to the moment, how about without it.
Americans are good at what absolutely any story, they can present as their heroism and do not forget to show their “right” actions in this situation.
Since I consider myself a lover of war films and have watched quite a lot of them, I can say about this film that it deserves attention, but it is definitely not the best in this genre.
For some childishness and an American ending.
