In 1974, Ken first appeared on television, playing a small role in the comedy film In Fashion. In the following years, he played supporting roles in television series, which include the famous drama Quiet Wharf, the crime thriller The Equalizer, and the comedy Newhart.
The actor got his first serious role in 1989 in the feature film The Abyss, which James Cameron worked on. This fantastic film has passed through cinemas around the world and is currently considered one of the best films with Ken Jenkins. The film won an Oscar in 1990 for its extraordinary visual effects.
In 1990, the actor was invited to play the role of Major Donald Limond in a comedy action movie.
