One of the smallest countries in the world took part in one of the most successful rescue operations of World War II. At least twenty-five thousand people were saved from the Nazi death camps thanks to the actions of the Salvadoran Schindler Consul General of El Salvador in Geneva Jose Arturo Castellianos and his first secretary, Jewish businessman Gyorde Mandl.
