To be honest, I didn’t read the book, but I watched Raikin’s play in Satyricon. I decided to watch the movie and compare the feeling. As a result, I did not quite understand why the scriptwriters wrote some “reflections”, why they remade Texel into a girl (except for the outcome to be less obvious), why they changed the beginning. . .
I found the show much closer to the original. And honestly, I liked him a lot more. The film left very contradictory impressions, and at times caused disgust. Details will be spoilers. In short, disappointed.
