Checked. I've been looking unusual for a long time. Impressions are very mixed. I haven't read the book, but the literary version seems much better than the cinematic one.
In short, the series has a very bad sound (for some reason this is the problem of the vast majority of Russian films/series), a good performance of actors and not always adequate situation behavior of the characters. Most likely, their motivation was spelled out in the book, the director could not show it (motivation) everywhere.
In general, I would recommend from the past to myself from the future not to waste time.
