I, like most, expected to see a funny, funny cartoon about the adventures of a poor chameleon. But "Rango" wasn't. But who is to blame? The director or our Russian marketers, who released posters, trailers and not a single warning poster with the words “unwanted children to ...” I don't know what age to write. Now ten-year-olds watched Saw and then slept like angels at night. But this is a lyrical retreat...
I've heard a lot of negative things about animals being unclear. Dear viewers, if you skipped biology classes at school, is that the fault of the cartoon creators? I've guessed almost 90% of all animal species. But the next time someone decides to make a cartoon about plants, in the forms of which I do not know anything, I will not shout that the directors shot a strange thing. I just admit that I'm a total zero in botany.
Pluses and cons of the picture. The positive is how the characters are made. Very qualitatively drawn all the details, as if they were living creatures.
The cartoon has a plot, there is a moral side and all the rest of the paraphernalia.
There are a lot of disadvantages. First of all, the tattering of the plot. How many movies have been made about how an ordinary guy pretends to be a hero, then this is revealed, but in the end he still manages to regain the love of new friends? It’s so cluttered that I’m even surprised that the directors themselves are not tired of filming such a thing.
Johnny's game. Well. I did not watch in the original in English, so I cannot evaluate his game, the translation, although the quality of any emotions did not inspire.
The fact that in “Rango” there are always some intersperses from other films is also not clear to everyone, for example, I almost did not watch any of them. So that's a relative plus.
Some characters are made softly to say unattractive. I know they're hillbillies from the Wild West, but sometimes it was unpleasant to look at them. In creating credibility, you also need to know the measure.
Well, a lot of minuses. The cartoon is not a children's film, adults have already seen earlier works with such plots. But there is something wrong with this.
Perhaps too many ambivalent impressions leave after watching the story of the chameleon Rango. A film that makes you think about yourself after watching, and not forgotten after half an hour, can no longer be bad.
