Interesting. Translation of the name is free. From the Kazakh name of both the film and the series is translated as "writers" (literally "those who hold the pen"). Novice author Satzhan Baigaliyev comes to Almaty and meets with his teacher, Professor Kenzhebekov. He handed him a banned book, The Theory of Literature, by the leader of the bourgeois-nationalist (liberation, it is anyone's choice) current, Alikhan Bukeikhanov. From this point on, the young man begins to be monitored. There are two versions of the story on the Internet: the 2019 feature film (without translation) and the series. The series is 95 percent subtitled in Russian. The last one is on YouTube. In the third series There is a mention of another author banned in the old days, Magzhan Zhumabayev. There are many real actors in the film: these are writers and poets of Kazakhstan: Mukagali Mukataev, Sherkhan Murtaza, Gabit Musrepov, Ilyas Yesenberlin, Anuar Alimzhanov, Tumanbay Moldagaliev, Olzhas and Askar Suleimenov and many others. There is a place for humor and intrigue. And, of course, love. That's just embarrassing that in the cinema all these outstanding personalities abuse alcohol. Thought... Apparently, the creative intelligentsia is stronger in this matter than anyone else.
