Follow a new generation of the Dutton family during the early twentieth century when pandemics, historic drought, the end of Prohibition and the Great Depression all plague the mountain west, and the Duttons who call it home.

It turns out that dressing actors in old clothes and writing on a 1923 screen is not all you need to make the viewer believe what is happening on the screen. What are the nipples sticking out at the bride of the nephew of the rancher when she walks along the street? Or the dazzling white smile of the rotting inside captain of the tugboat. Is he making teeth from some famous African dentist? It's weird why he's bleeding. You could go to the next office to see a famous African doctor. Or the English aristocrat jumping on his lap to his companion. Where? Right in front of everyone in broad daylight at some restaurant in the port. It turns out that if you do not immerse the creators themselves at the time they are trying to talk about, then nothing will work. The modern world is different from the world that was then different not only from clothes. The only thing you believe in is people’s actions. Here's the interesting part. It turns out that in the most democratic of all democratic countries, to kill a person is to blow your nose. And if you have power or money (or better together), then you will not get anything for it. They'll just say your reputation is great and you couldn't do that. Investigation, investigation? No, it's when a barefoot Indian kills a white man. It turns out that the Germans did not come up with the idea that some people are better than others simply because they look different (the skulls were not measured - everything was easier there, by eye). For me, the propaganda essence of this, let me say, work in the confrontation of the ruling elites in the most democratic of all democratic countries is obvious. To this end, I think the series has succeeded.
I started watching and decided not to continue. It looks like the story is about the survival of the Duttons again. I think they can’t do better than in the first series, and repeating the topic doesn’t tempt me. I'd better watch something else. Well, at least season 5 of the first series.
