Don't watch it This is the situation. Last year, the copyright protection of Alan Milne's first Winnie the Pooh works ended. And a few Brits who are engaged in the creation of low-budget horror movies with such great titles as, for example, "The Tree Killer" (
https://www.kinopoisk.ru/film/4421732/ decided to shoot a low-budget thrash horror with the heroes of Winnie the Pooh.
It’s hard to say because the filmmakers know it’s bad, I know it’s bad, everybody knows it’s bad. What do you think about the film?
But I was still hoping for a twisted enjoyment of watching. I smiled with strength several times.
I don’t like horror and slashers, but I do like light thrashing like Akimbo Guns. After all, most of the people who came back from my childhood used to make fun of Happy Tree Friends (and if they didn’t, they’re better off too).
It is clear that the only artistic goal of the film (and the main, in general, is to make money) is to show the heroes of a children's fairy tale in an environment as far as possible from the original. But the movie doesn't even make it interesting. Scenes of cruelty, which in this genre are the main “attraction”, so boring that it is more interesting to consider cheap computer graphics.
The last hope was parody. That the film would ridicule the cliché of the genre. And I admit, he does it a couple of times. But a couple of times in almost 1.5 hours is very small.
In general, “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey” could become a very specific, but still interesting artistic film. But it doesn’t become anything more than headlines on the internet.
