Movies on the topic of the day usually become obsolete quickly. “Sex and an unmarried girl” confirms this rule. To put the first word “sex” in the title at that time was bold and very provocative. A woman with a degree is another novelty of the time. Not to mention the fact that this woman speaks sharply about the reluctance to marry. And the audience, who recently watched Puritan Hollywood with its awkward silences, show the beginning of foreplay. And even a man to change into a woman's dress. It is worthwhile to scold the yellow press. The production itself is surprisingly archaic – like watching a typical movie of the 40s or 50s in color. A tall man in a tuxedo hangs over the woman, holding her. The actions of the actors are accompanied by cartoon voiceover.
What about the movie? It's nothing special. There are some heroes, some conflict between them, some comedy of positions. In general, some content is present, but it makes no more sense than in any third-rate film. By the end of the film completely turns into illegible and unjustified fuss. It’s great to see only Natalie Wood.
