Henry Jaynes Fonda (Henry Jaynes Fonda) is an American actor of theater and film, winner of the Oscar, the father of great actors Peter and Mary. Jane Fonda . A resounding success for Henry Fonda came after the release of the screens
pictures "Grapes of Wrath" based on the novel by John Steinbeck and for his role, the actor received an Oscar nomination. After becoming famous, Henry was actively involved in the public life of the country and was one of the founders of the Hollywood Democratic Committee.
Then the war began, and Henry served three years for the good of his country. After the war, Fonda starred in seven films and returned to Broadway. In 1950, Fonda’s family suffered a tragedy – his wife committed suicide. The actor married actress Susan Blanchard for the second time, and in 1953 they had a daughter Amy. However, after three years, the couple broke up.
In 1956, Fonda married the Italian Countess Afdere Franchetti, who also broke up, and after divorce married Shirley Mae Adams, with whom they lived together until the death of the great actor.
Henry Fonda was active in the theater until the last years of his life. The first bouts of malaise appeared after the play in the spring of 1974. Doctors discovered prostate cancer in the actor, but after surgery he returned to the stage in 1975, where he played until 1978.
In 1981, he returned to the cinema, where he played with his daughter in the film directed by Mark Rydell.
"On the Golden Pond" . In the spring of 1982, the film received eleven Oscar nominations and brought the Foundation the coveted statuette for Best Actor. However, due to illness, the actor was unable to attend the ceremony - the award was received by his daughter Jane. In the summer of 1982, Henry Fonda died at his home in Los Angeles, at the age of 77. /
