The film “Unusual Day” won the Golden Globe in 1978 as the best foreign film from Italy, the Cesar Award, the Oscar nomination for best actor and best foreign language film, the Golden Palm Branch nomination in Cannes. Because of its theatricality and the preservation of the climax (as always given by Ettore Scola – quality), the film should be watched because of its deep, dramatic play Marcello Mastroianni and Sophia Loren. They’ve played together 12 times and the chemistry they’ve always had is just at its peak. In my opinion, this is a film about the inner loneliness of both women and men and rebelliousness. Here is the unique music of the composer Armando Trovaioli, which complements and adorns the picture. There is, in my opinion, after watching a direct reference to the speech of Yevgeny Grishkovets: “You can walk around like this, be tired, exhausted, have serious financial problems, be cold, and at the same time be absolutely happy ... Absolutely ... just for the reason that you are waiting.” And you know, not just waiting like this, but waiting for the one you need to wait for you. Because there are those who are waiting, let them wait. Wait! Or you can be healthy, promising, successful and completely unhappy, because you are not expected. She's not waiting, and nobody seems to be waiting. And then you have a phone, and that phone has a number. And that number is not dialed because she is not dialing, and it seems that no one is dialing. She's not dialing. And yet you have in your brain some fiery numbers burning her number, her cherished number. And you understand that you do not need to recruit him, and in any case do not need to recruit him, because it will only get worse. And as soon as I thought that, I immediately dialed. It just got worse, anyway. You heard a little horn, so she's talking to someone. Who? Long horns - she's not picking up. Why? So she's got my number, and she doesn't want to take it, so you have to call from a phone she doesn't know. Or you hear the voice of the operator saying that the subscriber is unavailable. Or her voice, which you are not happy with, some false answers, or some completely indifferent questions. And you realize at this point that you probably don't need anyone at all. What can you do about that? If she doesn't need you, no one needs you. How can you handle this? (c) The film is really smart and soulful. Highest score. I really liked it. I recommend Liza Ulyanova and Sveta Kalmykova. You are as literate in Italian cinema – here you will get a full range of emotions. I would recommend all filmgoers to watch. The film is noteworthy.
