Of course, this is a typical film for Kaurismäki, so it is good. This is such a very Finnish story, which, at first glance, a lot of tragic, but it is presented in such a way that there is no heavy feeling after watching. One married couple lives in peace and harmony, his wife works as a senior waitress in a small restaurant called “Dubrovnik”, his husband works as a tram driver, their lives flow at a measured pace, both of them are also people restrained. Their problems are often solved with the help of alcohol, but few become aggressive at the same time, except for one chef in a restaurant. But suddenly, as always, unexpectedly, there comes a moment when everything begins to collapse - first they cut off the husband's job, then they close the restaurant where the wife works. They do not want to sit on welfare, both are looking for work, but on this path they expect only trouble. And when, it would seem, there is nothing to hope for, a ray of hope will glimmer and it will turn out that there can be a way out of this situation. I liked the film, I generally like Kaurismäki’s films.
