Star Dust I can’t say what I wanted to see, even though I’ve seen the movie trailer in theaters. There was a vague and not entirely pleasant feeling.
In general, I cannot say anything definite. It seems like the beginning is quite promising, not so saturated. But I didn't like the hint of a bed scene literally in the fifth minute of the film. Still, this is a little alarming, because they promised a fabulous fantasy for all ages. Next comes the template: shows the usual fairy-tale loser, who is described as “promising small”.
Of course, no girl’s heart will tremble before such a handsome man, well, perhaps, only some “fallen” star. Especially one that will be chained to such a subject for several hours. What a fairy tale if it does not have a decrepit witch, so to ensure a complete furor, the witch was in triple copy. What is an adventure without pirates? Brave dove pirates, plowing the expanses of thunderclouds, brought a special shade.
The finale of the film, in fact, is trimmed to the impossible: finding a “prodigal” mother, saving the “fallen” star from the shackles, ascension to the throne of the entire magical kingdom, etc., etc. Truth is an excuse for Neil Gaiman's story. Still, in our time it is extremely difficult to surprise the public, especially children, whose minds are "clogged" with television fantasy. What you can’t take away from the picture is its fabulous atmosphere, and this, in my opinion, is the main thing.
It is very difficult to assess the role of the writers, and the most fabulous novel in the film, as I knew nothing but reviews for the film. I didn’t really listen to the music, so I don’t want to go into this too much.
The actors, in my opinion, want to be better. At least I didn't believe Charlie Cox or Claire Danes. Michelle Pfeiffer may have been remembered, but I think I could have done better.
The lasting impression was made by Robert De Niro, the once strong actor descended to the mundane and uninteresting role of the unconventional orientation of the pirate leader. True, I sincerely liked the episodic role of the cruel King Peter O'Toole and my beloved David Kelly in the image of the guard of the wall.
In general, “Stardust” is a film in which there is something to see, although not everything is pleasant.
