Watched all three seasons. Since the gap between them in time is large, then already erased impressions of the first. The second was somewhat confusing, but not to the benefit of the series, but to the detriment. The third is boring.
Inconclusive arguments between husband and wife became more or less clear when it turned out that they were united not by love, but by the death of other people's children. It turns out that this was the main thing in the series of the third season, not the crime line. Then this season does not fall under the label "True Detective".
Many people say that in the third season you should watch episodes 1, 2 and 8.
The fourth season intrigues the audience more than the previous three.
Alaska, far north, polar night. Staff (one men, 6 people) of the scientific station found near the station frozen naked. A few months earlier, a murdered activist of a committee fighting to shut down a mine polluting the natural environment with cancer-causing waste was found in the village. There's a whole cemetery of cancer victims. They're mostly children.
The police chief (played by Judy Foster) suggests the two cases are related.
There are several conflicts, both personal and social. Therefore, it is very difficult for the police to understand the circumstances of the case.
The viewer expects a very exciting spectacle, in which many white and colored actors take part. These are mostly native Alaskans. We are not used to such an abundance of mixed races in American films.
By the way, not so long ago there was a similar detective (north, otherworldly forces, mine, station, polar bears) “Fortitude”, the series. I suggest you look. Very handsome and bloody.
