Brett Edwards’s journey to the stage has been turbulent. In his youth, he saw himself as an athlete or a marine, but fate, as it turned out, had other plans for his account.
Theatrical debut, so to speak, took place for Brett at the age of seven – he played at the Kentucky Arts Center young Simba in the play “The Lion King”. Despite the success, this did not prompt the boy to immediately devote himself to the stage, at school age he was more attracted to golf and hockey, and then seized the desire to enter the Marine Corps. However, asthma did not give him the opportunity to realize his dream. While studying public relations at the University of Dayton, which led to a six-month contract with the Louisville Advertising Agency, Brett realized how much he disliked being an advertising agent, and decided to head to Hollywood.
He began to try his hand since 2010, acting in short films. In 2011, he debuted in the full-length horror Paranormal Incident.
A career breakthrough came in 2013 when Brett produced and directed the short film The Heeler, which won the Grand Prix at the Nevada Film Festival. Then there were acting work in the Oscar-winning drama.
