For the first time I watched an Italian cartoon, and shot not for children, but for adults on a very philosophical topic - is it possible in life, given its inevitable outcome, to be happy? The film is titled The Art of Being Happy, directed by Alessandro Cancer, 2013. The main character is a former pianist, and now a taxi driver, discusses this topic, listens to the stories of his passengers, conducts conversations with imaginary interlocutors, starts to remember, but in every possible way avoids contact with relatives. He is in deep depression after receiving news of his brother’s death, which is amplified by winter rains and piles of garbage bags everywhere. Will he be able to get out of his condition? The film, as it seems to me, will not please everyone, a lot of reasoning, although any person asks these questions, but does not always put his thoughts in the form of reasoning, often they flash haphazardly, often people avoid such thoughts. Visually, the film initially bothered me a little, I do not like the comic art style, then I got used to it. If anyone is interested, I recommend watching.
