My “I’m going to watch” on Kinopoisk is just an amazing world of cinema, which I don’t remember how I found, I don’t remember the circumstances in which I added it. Sometimes the most logical question is how did I come to the conclusion that I wanted to watch this? My favorite movie from there, which I haven't gotten to yet, really, is about a film crew in Venice who come to make a horror movie, and then what they do starts to happen to them actually. The score of this film is about 4 points, I do not know either the cast or the crew. I don’t know how this got on my list.
But recently I came across a series called Happyish and started watching it. I have to say this: it’s a very clever comedy, the characters in which really seem alive. There is no evil and good, favorites of fate and eternal losers. They're all real. And then there's a family that seems to have a really good relationship, and they love their child. It's very rare to see this, usually movies about families focus on their relationships. And here they are basically normal, and the conflict is with the outside world.
It's good and subtle, a little evil humor. The main character at the beginning of each series sends someone to hell, sometimes he discusses his problems with the characters of the animation, and “in the roles” indicate Vladimir Nabokov and Marc Chagall.
The world here is amazing. More precisely, the world is ordinary, but the family of the main characters feel very acutely that it is turned upside down, and they do not understand how to live in general when this is the case. So sometimes they think they're probably from another planet, and we see a flying saucer that they run to and ask to be taken back.
It’s funny because it reminds a real story: “The man on the bridge begged aliens to pick him up from Volgograd.” We're all from Volgograd sometimes.
