It seemed to me that in this anime it is not even about not regretting the past and moving forward, as usual in dramas with temporal paradoxes. Rather, it is about taking responsibility for every step we take in our lives. The fact that if you take everything from life, then somewhere and someone this “all” may not be enough. Nothing is given for nothing, and only a willingness to sacrifice can keep this balance, prevent tragedy.
In fact, a lot has been written and filmed about it, even too much. And I wouldn’t even say that “The Girl Who Conquered Time” brought something fundamentally new to this topic. But this anime is valuable not only for its ideas - it catches on with simplicity, description of school life, live characters, lack of playful drama, excessive fiction. It is very vital and atmospheric.
Result: a good anime on a somewhat hackneyed theme of the "butterfly effect". However, it delivers a sincere lyricism and atmosphere that can cause nostalgia for school childhood. 8 out of 10
