Very strong movie. The main actor plays great. One moment of singing over the grave is worth it. But life-affirming this film is difficult to call. Terrible circumstances and people without hope. The release was almost an accident. Yes, he could have been here before, not fought again... so he’s certainly good. . . In general, you should not look at the fallen spirit, and with a normal psyche and without depresnyak, I very much recommend it.
In the pre-Civil War United States, Solomon Northup, a free black man from upstate New York, is abducted and sold into slavery. Facing cruelty as well as unexpected kindnesses Solomon struggles not only to stay alive, but to retain his dignity. In the twelfth year of his unforgettable odyssey, Solomon’s chance meeting with a Canadian abolitionist will forever alter his life.
Beautiful acting. Excellent camera work. It's a disgusting scenario. And of course, a long time with a dozen long shots and scenes. . The title of the film seems to imply that “it will not work quickly.” But why is that?
