Comedy???? Someone may not be satisfied with the film adaptation, and I have complaints about the source, which, as I have seen, is not particularly distorted. Of course, I’ve read a couple of Sagan things before and I understand that this is a specific author... but somehow I didn’t notice her in other things such unhealthy humor!
Announcement ' comedy' suggests a fairly standard situation and harmless jokes on 'urban' which in rustic conditions look ridiculous. Usually such stories prove that 'common people' more soulful, hardworking, and in some ways more snobs'. But what do we see here?!? The village is really a hellhole, populated by cynics and madmen (in the most clinical sense of the word)! No situation has made me smile personally. Only in films such as ' Very Scary Movie' they consider it appropriate to laugh at such things, even tolerance has nothing to do with it. Let’s say there was nothing in that doubtful moment, but the assumption... Again, ' Toilet' humor, health jokes - this is an inferior kind, unworthy of a decent movie.
However, the film caused some emotions - pity for poor Bruno (despite who he is) and disgust for the village. I don't think that was the point. Does he even exist? Here people have learned something ... and that's it - get optimism not inspiring end (and in the film too)?
I gave a good rating for the actors. In my opinion, their game is very worthy, the blonde is beautiful, and Bruno may not be handsome, but the sweetness is indescribable, so touchingly defenseless with all his stubborn selfishness.
So think about who to believe and whether to look!
