Henry Ford is an American industrialist who owns automobile manufacturing plants around the world.
Ford came from an Irish immigrant family who lived on a farm near Detroit. When Henry was sixteen years old, he decided to run away from home and go to work in Detroit. From 1891 to 1899 he served as a mechanic and later as an engineer at the Edison Electric Company.

Ford became known for the first time began to use an industrial conveyor for the production of cars. Henry was one of the first to put into practice the idea of welfare, capitalism, to improve the living conditions of workers and to reduce the drain that caused many units to hire three hundred people a year to fill a hundred jobs. The emphasis was on efficiency, i.e. hiring and retaining the most effective workers.
