Dussolier’s early years passed between the small towns of Etriña and Cruzia, where he lived with his parents, who worked as financial inspectors.
Already at the age of ten, Andre played a role in the school production of The River Child, but the boy’s father insisted that his son continue his studies at the university. As a result, the future actor perfectly graduated from literary college. However, at the age of twenty-three, Andre Dussolier firmly decided to link his fate with the acting craft.
Andre graduated with honors from the Higher Theatre School, and in 1972 he decided to enter the Comedy Française, and in the same year he made his debut in cinema. Dussolier starred with the director Francois Truffaut in the film “A Beauty Like Me”. After participating in this film, he drew the attention of popular film directors - Romer, Chabrol and Lelouch.
A truly serious success came to Dussolier in 1985, when he starred with Colin Cerro in a comedy film.
