Then Andy Tennant took up directing and in the early 1990s put a number of films on TV, including episodes of the popular TV series "The Adventures of Briscoe County Jr.", "Birds in Paradise", "Wonderful Years", a series of cult sci-fi series "Sliding". He was best known for his television film The Amy Fisher Story, which was filmed in 1993. The main role was played by Drew Barrymore. In 1995, Andy Tennant made his debut as a director of the "big movie", directing a family comedy about the adventures of the twins - "Me and My Shadow". He then tried his hand at a romantic comedy, directing the film Hurry, Make People Laugh (1997), starring Salma Hayek and Matthew Perry. Taking as a basis the classic story about Cinderella, Andy Tennant in 1998 shot on his script, which has become to date his most successful picture “The Story of Eternal Love”.
