After graduating from school, Valentina entered the Shchukin Theatre School. Already in the first year of training for the future actress - a young, pretty, with bright black eyes drew the attention of the then unknown director Andrei Tarkovsky. He trusted Malyavina to play the main role of Masha in his first full-length film.

After graduating from the theater school in 1966, Valentina Alexandrovna became an actress of the Vakhtangov Moscow Theatre. At the same time, she continued to act in films. Malyavina very easily entered any image of her heroines, with each brilliantly coping. In the late sixties, the popularity of Malyavina was on par with the fame of Marianna Vertinskaya. Hundreds of fans, talented and bright men went crazy for this beautiful and mysterious woman. Changing men, marrying them and leaving them, Valentina Malyavina tried to find the only one with whom she would live to a very old age. But fate chose a different path for her.
Fatal for Malyavina was a meeting with Stas Danko. It was because of him that Valentina Malyavina was imprisoned and spent four years of her difficult life there. Failed personal life followed by breakdowns in the work of the actress. Nevertheless, the screens were released with her participation – “Husband and daughter of Tamara Alexandrovna”, “Woman for all”, “Autumn temptations”.
In 1993, the actress was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Russia. /
